Hello engineering enthusiasts and welcome to the new-look Engineering Heroes podcast website!
If you’ve noticed that things look a little different here, you’re right.
We are proud to announce that Engineers Australia has now officially taken the helm of the Engineering Heroes podcast series.
What’s changed? Not much, we are fortunate to have the original founder and co-host, Melanie De Gioia, working with us and continuing to produce the weekly episodes and co-host the show. Dominic De Gioia will still be joining her as our resident engineer, speaking from the trenches.
What is Engineering Heroes? It is a forum for people to meet and listen to some wonderful engineers, and to fully understand that the work they do, is so incredibly important in improving the world around us.
Join us as we chat to some amazing Engineers from around the world and from an array of areas in society. Each Friday you will find a new episode launched here and be able to subscribe to our podcast, so you don’t miss out on the weekly episodes.
Tune in and get blown away by the stories, the people and the projects that shape the world we live in.
Melanie and Dominic founded the podcast series in 2018 and we thank them for building a valuable tool that connects engineers with one another.
Mel is an experienced Project Manager, having extensive experience in IT implementations. She is a Project Manager for The Warren Centre for Advanced Engineering, a Think Tank connected with the University of Sydney. She is also the Producer for the kid’s podcast Idea Evolution which consistently rates in the top 20 of Kids and Family podcasts on the Australian Apple podcasts charts.
Dominic De Gioia is an engineer with over 20-years’ experience in the building services sector. He is the director of a multi-disciplinary engineering firm which has offices in Sydney and Wollongong and achieved his Charted status in 2019.
