Nuclear is key to clean energy with Alice Cunha da Silva

Nuclear energy has been recognised by the International Energy Agency as being key to any clean energy strategy.  Recently at the Clean Energy Ministerial, there were many conversations about the important role Nuclear must play in ensuring our energy is not polluting the environment. 

to achieve decarbonize world, we would need all the clean energy resources and that include nuclear, and to do that without nuclear would be much harder 

Without Nuclear energy…  

It would be pretty much impossible to achieve the goals that we currently have for the climate change 

Alice Cunha de Silva is a nuclear engineer who is passionate about the potential of nuclear power and believes it is key to saving the Earth. 

It doesn’t produce any air pollution, it doesn’t produce any carbon dioxide. So we are not polluting the air, we are not helping climate change in the process.

About Alice Cunha da Silva

Alice Cunha da Silva

Alice graduated Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Nuclear Engineering with honors.  She has a Masters Degree, Business Administration and Management, and an MBA in Project Management.

Alice is currently Key Account Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company.

She was the winner of the WNU Nuclear Olympiad at the IAEA, received the certificate of honor Admiral Alvaro Alberto for services provided in the Brazilian nuclear industry, and is the youngest member of the board of the Brazilian Association of Nuclear Energy.
